CreativeCrafts – 6th form mini-enterprise group
Students in the mini-enterprise group have been working hard this year. After some agonised decision making, students finally voted on CreativeCrafts as a company name. With the business account set up, students began the task of raising the £80 registration fee.
They decided to row the distance to Canterbury and asked parents for sponsorship so the required amount could be raised. Parents were very generous and, with the fee paid, CreativeCrafts started to generate ideas for their company.
The idea of making, buying in and selling on a range of seasonal, creative crafts gained popularity. To this end, students have been designing and making a range of cards to sell for Christmas. They also decided to sell a snow globe and Christmas Suncatchers from Hobby Craft. A brochure was printed and students delivered them to all classes.
Students also sold their goods at the Lower School Christmas performances. They are keeping their fingers crossed for Christmas orders!
Keep your eyes peeled for goods that may come your way on special occasions. Students have said they would like to concentrate on Valentine’s Day and Easter next.
