External Agency Support

Staff at Meadowfield School work closely with a range of external agencies to ensure the needs of all pupils are met. This can include liaising with:

  • Other special schools and provisions
  • The Kent Communication and Assistive Technology (CAT) Team
  • The PRU, Inclusion and attendance service (PIAS)
  • Social Services - the school’s Designated Teacher liaises with corporate parents in relation to Children in Care
  • NELFT – North East London NHS Foundation Trust (formerly known as CAMHS)

The school has named Special Educational Needs Officers based at the East Kent Area office who are the Local Authority point of contact for the school and parents. Yvonne is the MOVE and Mobility Co-Ordinator for the school, she is the link person in school working alongside the therapists and class teams.
