Welcome to Tadpoles Class, part of the Early Years Foundation Stage at Meadowfield School.
Our Class teacher is Maria
Teaching assistants: Eni and Joanne
Lunch assistant: Bethan
In Tadpoles we learn through a combination of Planned Play and Teacher Directed activities. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and Development Matters documents which cover seven areas of learning which are as follows:
During the Term 3 we will be focusing on the topic ‘Dinosaurs’ we will be and we will be looking at the story ' The Dinosaur Who Lost His Roar’ and 'My T-rex has a tooth ache'.
For our pupils to reach their full potential, a multi-sensory approach to teaching and learning is used. Songs and rhymes, dance, ‘messy’ play, sensory stories, small world and role play activities all aid children to develop their skills within the seven areas of learning.
Children have the opportunity to explore and investigate a wide range of different learning materials and within different environments including the sensory garden and the outside learning areas.
