Pupils from Meadowfield have had the privilege of visiting Curly's Farm on the Isle of Sheppey and we have heard about the huge amount of damage caused by storm Eunice on Friday 18th February 2022. We are asking Parents and Carers to consider donating to help them restore the farm, even a small donation can help.
The message from the owners detailing the damage is below:
So storm Eunice has REALLY left it’s mark on Curly’s Farm today.
I know we’ve all lost a fence panel, roof tiles or the odd trampoline, but today Curly’s Farm lost the poultry shed and the some of the fox proof fencing surrounding the hen houses. As well as the Pygmy goats field shelter, the cattle shed roofing and the polytunnel!
We also lost the ducks run in storm Dudley…two storms in 1x week is too much.
On Monday we begin to welcome another 295x young people and adults per week to Curly’s Farm…first we just need to clean up and rebuild.
People have asked us to set up a ‘Go fund me page’ so we have, here’s the link https://gofund.me/a792d39e
